ACMA Intensifies Enforcement
ACMA told internet providers to block gambling platforms such as Crown Gold, Maxispin Casino, Rain.gg, Didibet, LuckyBet, Malina Casino, and Spins of Glory. These sites offered betting and gaming services without a license. Since 2019, the regulator has blocked more than 1,300 gambling and affiliate websites.
About 220 unlicensed operators have left the market as a result of stricter enforcement. ACMA said it will keep monitoring online activity and respond quickly to any new illegal sites. The agency also plans to expand cooperation with international regulators to better track cross-border gambling operations.
Protecting Consumers and the Market
The authority warned that unlicensed websites put players’ money and data at risk. Many of these sites appear legitimate but lack fair play guarantees and consumer protection. ACMA urges Australians to check the official register to confirm whether an operator holds a valid license. It also encourages users to report suspicious sites to help protect the regulated market.
The latest blocking actions are part of a broader plan to ensure safer and more transparent gambling in Australia. The regulator aims to strengthen public awareness campaigns to educate players about the risks of using illegal gambling services.
