AvatarUX secures license for Romanian debut as part of European expansion
The National Gambling Office in Romania has granted AvatarUX a Class II license, enabling the studio to offer its full slot portfolio to local operators and players for the first time.

Regulatory approval opens Romanian market
AvatarUX has received authorization from Romania’s National Gambling Office (ONJN), gaining a Class II license that clears the path for the company to enter the regulated market. This development supports the studio’s broader strategy of growing its presence across Europe’s regulated jurisdictions.
With the license in place, AvatarUX will begin a phased introduction of its portfolio to the Romanian market. The rollout includes access to its full suite of titles, including those built around the studio’s proprietary mechanics such as PopWins, ZapReel, Loaded Reel, and Wild Reel.
Romania seen as a strategic growth market
Romania’s iGaming sector has shown consistent growth in recent years, making it an attractive destination for content suppliers seeking regulated opportunities. AvatarUX’s entry reflects its interest in markets where digital gaming is expanding and regulation allows for new entrants to gain foothold.
Lara Falzon, CEO at AvatarUX, commented:
“Securing our Romanian licence is an important step in our ongoing growth journey. We’ve always taken pride in balancing high-octane action with compliant, responsible products, and this milestone is another sign of our commitment to expanding in a player-centric way.”
“Alongside our hugely popular PopWins™ collection, we’ve launched a range of fresh mechanics that push the boundaries of slot gameplay. We’re confident our portfolio will be a breath of fresh air for Romanian players and truly stand out in a competitive market,” She added.
