Banijay Group Reports 8.5% Growth in Gaming Revenue
Banijay Group’s gaming division generated €1.13 billion in revenue during the first nine months of 2025, marking an 8.5% increase year-on-year. Growth was fueled by strong online poker and casino performance, as well as the upcoming integration of Tipico Group, which will solidify Banijay’s position as Europe’s leading sports betting operator.

Steady Growth Across Gaming Verticals
The group’s gaming unit recorded a 23% rise in Unique Active Players, demonstrating consistent engagement despite unfavorable sports results in September. Sportsbook revenue increased by 5.2%, supported by major European football leagues and international tournaments, including the UEFA Europa Conference League and World Cup qualifiers.
Online poker achieved notable progress with a 32.7% revenue rise, following the successful launch of Banijay’s proprietary poker platform in late 2024. Online casino operations grew by 16.4%, supported by market expansion in Portugal and the launch in Côte d’Ivoire.
Acquisition of Tipico Group
On October 28, 2025, Banijay Group announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Tipico Group, a leading operator in Germany and Austria. The deal values Betclic and Tipico at €4.8 billion and €4.6 billion respectively, backed by €3 billion in financing. The transaction, expected to close by mid-2026 pending regulatory approval, will make Banijay Group the largest sports betting operator in continental Europe.
François Riahi, CEO of Banijay Group, stated:
“Banijay Group delivered solid growth and strong performance during the first nine months of 2025 across all activities, underscoring the strength of our diversified model. In Gaming, our commercial development remained very dynamic, despite adverse sports results in September 2025 and a high comparison base following last year’s major international sporting events calendar. We recently also announced a major milestone for both Banijay Group and Banijay Gaming with the acquisition of Tipico Group, making us the leader of sport betting in Continental Europe.”
Outlook for 2025
Banijay Group expects its gaming division to deliver around 10% organic revenue growth for the full year. The company projects continued momentum driven by Tipico’s integration and heightened player activity ahead of the 2026 Football World Cup.
