Hacksaw Gaming was established in 2017 by a team of industry veterans aiming to modernize the scratchcard experience. The company officially launched operations in 2018.

Headquartered in Msida, Malta, Hacksaw Gaming has grown to over 100 employees as of 2025, with additional offices in Sweden.

Marcus Cordes, who joined in its early years and later became CEO, continues to steer its strategic direction. Under Cordes’ leadership, the company pivoted in 2019 to focus on video slots, which quickly became its core product offering.
