Kambi Group

Kambi Group is a leading B2B provider of sports betting technology. The company delivers platforms for licensed operators active in regulated markets across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia.

About

Company Background

Kambi was established in 2010 as a subsidiary of Unibet Group (now Kindred Group). It officially became an independent entity following a shareholder-approved spin-off in 2014, which led to its public listing on Nasdaq First North Stockholm on June 2, 2014.

Headquartered in Malta, Kambi employs over 1,000 people across offices in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. The company develops systems that cover every stage of the sports betting process — from real-time odds generation and risk management to compliance and reporting tools. Over time, it has shifted from offering a single end-to-end platform to providing modular solutions that can be integrated into existing operator infrastructures.

In July 2024, Werner Becher was appointed CEO of Kambi Group, succeeding co-founder Kristian Nylén. Nylén transitioned to a new role on the company’s Board of Directors. Under Becher’s leadership, Kambi has doubled down on modularity, positioning itself to better meet the evolving needs of sportsbook operators globally.

Products and Technology

Kambi’s platform is designed to support both full-service sportsbook operations and custom integrations. Core components include:

  • Odds compilation and real-time updates

  • Risk and limit management

  • Pre-match and in-play trading tools

  • Customizable front-end frameworks

  • Compliance solutions for regulated markets

Operators can deploy the complete platform or choose individual elements, such as the Odds Feed+ product, depending on their internal capabilities and strategic goals.

Global Market Presence

Kambi operates only in regulated jurisdictions, tailoring its services to the legal and operational requirements of each market. Its technology is currently active in:

  • Europe – including Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, and the UK

  • North America – the United States and Ontario, Canada

  • Latin America – including Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil (launched in 2025)

  • Asia-Pacific – with support and operations based in the Philippines and Australia

Clients include national lotteries, challenger brands, and international operators. Key partners include ATG, LeoVegas, BetPlay, Rush Street Interactive, Kindred Group, and Hard Rock Digital. However, it’s worth noting that some long-time partners, such as Kindred Group and LeoVegas, have started to develop or adopt alternative in-house solutions in recent years.

Strategic Positioning

Kambi’s value lies in its neutrality and focus. By avoiding consumer-facing operations, the company maintains conflict-free relationships with operators. Its platform combines automation with in-house trading oversight, ensuring both efficiency and control.

As the market shifts toward modularity and in-house solutions, Kambi’s adaptable model and regulatory depth make it a strong fit for operators seeking scalability without complexity.
