Cbet’s Parent Company Declared Bankrupt After PSG’s Legal Action

The Court of the First Instance in Curaçao has declared Cbet’s parent company, AK Global NV, bankrupt after Paris Saint-Germain succeeded in litigation to recover unpaid liabilities. The ruling, issued on 23 January, states that AK Global NV failed to meet its financial obligations, leading to the court’s decision.

PSG’s Legal Action and Court Ruling

According to NEXT.io, PSG filed the bankruptcy claim in November 2024, which was first reported by local media the following month. The court ruled that AK Global NV had left several debts unpaid and was unable to meet its financial obligations. The judgement stated: “From the facts stated in the application and from the hearing in chambers, it has been shown in summary that the defendant has left several debts unpaid.”

Despite being ordered to do so, no legal representation appeared on behalf of AK Global NV during the court proceedings.

Business Operations and Company Transition

As reported by NEXT.io, the Commercial Register of the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry confirmed that AK Global NV’s company registration was terminated on the day of the judgement. Following this, Cbet’s website now lists its holding company as AK Global Ltd, a Belize-based entity with the registration number 000034783. The brand also claims to hold a gambling licence from the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros.

However, discrepancies exist, as the Anjouan government’s website associates Cbet with a different company, Bermuda Triangle Ltd, which does not match the entity listed on Cbet’s website.

The situation with Cbet follows a similar case involving crypto casino BC.Game, which was also declared bankrupt by a Curaçao court in 2024. As a result, BC.Game lost its gambling licence and later announced it had obtained a new licence from Anjouan authorities.
