Checkd Group Achieves Record Year-End Financial Results with 38% Revenue Growth

iGaming media and technology firm Checkd Group has reported its most successful year-end financial results to date, showcasing a remarkable 38% increase in group revenues.

Significant milestones

This achievement comes after a year marked by significant milestones, including the launch of the FlashPicks app in the US, the licensing of Smart Acca technology, and the creation of captivating video content that drives traffic to betting partners.

The North America-oriented Checkd International experienced substantial growth, now contributing 16% of the Group’s total revenue. The Flash Picks app debuted just in time for the MLB season and ahead of the NFL campaign, featuring the innovative Smart Picks betting tool, powered by Checkd’s proprietary Smart Acca technology. The FlashPicks brand gained substantial traction across social media channels, benefiting from new states and provinces going live.

Checkd Dev, responsible for pioneering sports betting technology, tools, and solutions for sportsbooks and media owners worldwide, reported a remarkable 35% year-on-year revenue increase. The team successfully managed the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game throughout the year, including a special edition for the Qatar World Cup. The development of the talkSPORT EDGE app for News UK continued, providing listeners with up-to-date scores, odds, and betting offers.

Meanwhile, Checkd Media, the Group’s UK media arm, achieved a 25% increase in year-on-year revenues. The launch of the video series “No Tippy Tappy Football” featuring Sam Allardyce for the 2022 World Cup was extended through the domestic football season, yielding impressive commercial results for brand partner William Hill. Betting Hub received upgrades, introducing features like Tipster Tournaments and exclusive boosted prices, resulting in over 50,000 new installs.

Substantial growth

The Group experienced substantial growth in followers, with UK brands gaining 160,000 new followers, particularly on the flagship brand Footy Accumulators. FlashPicks in North America gained 100,000 new followers across Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Alex Beecham, Managing Director at Checkd Group, highlighted the team’s contribution to the growth: “The growth we are seeing domestically and in North America is credit to the team setup within the Group. We’re continuing to scale the team and operations in each division following the momentum last season. We are forecasting similar growth levels this year with new states opening in North America for operators, the Euros this summer, and additional betting tech solutions for partners launching.”

Checkd Group’s remarkable achievements reflect its commitment to innovation, expansion, and delivering exceptional experiences to its audience across various platforms and regions.
