Cubeia Launches Poker 2.0

Cubeia, the Swedish iGaming software provider, has officially rolled out its new Poker 2.0 platform. Built on a modern Java 21 engine, the release focuses on performance, scalability, and streamlined feature deployment.

Technical Foundation and Performance

At the core of Poker 2.0 is a completely rewritten multi-threaded server engine developed in Java 21. The upgraded backend is designed to support player volumes in the six-digit range, offering scalability for growing networks. It also includes built-in thread safety, which simplifies the process of adding new features by eliminating concurrency issues.

Poker 2.0 includes a redesigned graphical interface aimed at delivering a smoother and more modern player experience. On the developer side, reduced technical debt means that updates can now be deployed more efficiently. In addition, the new platform architecture enables future API integrations, including the option to open the poker lobby to external partners under specific agreements.

Community Testing and Beta Rewards

To support the launch, Cubeia has initiated a four-week Beta Test Series across its Hybrid Poker Network. Players are invited to report bugs and may receive up to $55 in tournament tickets as a reward. This initiative serves both as a stress test for the system and a way to engage the community in the platform’s final tuning phase.

Several operators are expected to go live with Poker 2.0 in the coming months. Cubeia plans to expand its poker network while responding to operator requests with greater agility, thanks to the flexible design of the new system.

Internal Milestone and Statement

Simon Isbäck, Head of Poker at Cubeia, stated:

“After about a year and a half worth of development, we can finally clap each other’s backs and be proud of what we’ve accomplished! On Thursday, I will be looking forward to hosting a huge launch party for the entire team! New features will drop faster than ever, and we’re looking forward to launching many industry-relevant features as well as some brand new ones. This is only the beginning!”
