Danske Spil Reports Higher Revenue
Danske Spil has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, posting higher revenue in its core lottery and betting segments but a slight drop in net profit. The state-controlled operator pointed to one-off gains in 2024 as the main reason for the lower bottom line.

Lottery Drives Growth
Danske Spil’s gross gaming revenue rose to DKK 1.276bn in the first three months of 2025, an increase of DKK 32m compared to the same period last year. The lottery division was the largest contributor, generating DKK 733m. Strong sales from Vikinglotto boosted this segment, although lower activity for Eurojackpot tempered the overall performance.
The betting and online gaming segment, operating under the Danske Licens Spil brand, delivered DKK 396m in revenue. An uptick in sports betting activity online was partially offset by weaker results in the casino segment, yielding roughly flat performance year-on-year.
Klasselotteriet Improves, Elite Gaming Declines
Klasselotteriet registered a revenue of DKK 75m, up DKK 11m from the prior year. This improvement followed the launch of the “15 er magisk” initiative introduced in late 2024. Meanwhile, Elite Gaming recorded DKK 71m, down DKK 4m, with no further details disclosed about the drop.
Although total revenue grew, Danske Spil’s net profit after tax fell to DKK 500m, down DKK 10m from the same period in 2024. This was largely due to gains from the Swush divestment in 2024, as well as lower financial income in the current year.
