European Casino Association Launches Strategic Supplier Partnership
The European Casino Association (ECA) has introduced a Strategic Supplier Partnership initiative to strengthen collaboration between the land-based casino sector and its suppliers. The partnership was announced during the ECA Casino Industry Forum in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.
Strengthening Industry Collaboration
The Strategic Supplier Partnership aims to enhance cooperation across the gaming industry by fostering dialogue among operators, suppliers, policymakers, and stakeholders.
By promoting responsible practices and addressing regulatory challenges, the initiative seeks to create a collaborative environment to support the licensed gaming sector.
ECA Chairman Erwin van Lambaart highlighted the significance of the initiative:
“We are pleased to welcome Aristocrat Gaming, IGT, Light & Wonder, and Novomatic as the founding members of the ECA’s Strategic Supplier Partnership. This collaboration allows us to share diverse perspectives and work towards solutions that benefit the entire gaming community, while respecting the distinct roles of operators and suppliers.”
Key Areas of Focus
The partnership will focus on several critical areas:
- Standardisation and Security: Developing equipment standards and improving security measures to enhance industry operations.
- Combating Illegal Gambling: Coordinating efforts to address the challenges posed by unlicensed gambling activities.
- Responsible Gaming and Compliance: Promoting best practices in responsible gaming and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Networking and Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating connections between suppliers and operators to drive innovation and industry growth.
Founding Partners
The inaugural members of the Strategic Supplier Partnership are Novomatic, Aristocrat, IGT, and Light & Wonder. Speaking on the collaboration, Novomatic’s executive board member Stefan Krenn expressed optimism:
“In this exclusive collaboration, we look forward to shaping the future of European gaming in a responsible and sustainable way, fostering collaboration across the industry and upholding the highest standards of compliance and player protection.”

In addition to the Strategic Supplier Partnership, the ECA announced the winners of its Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship for the Executive Development Programme at Lake Tahoe, USA.
