Fan Scores from Midfield to Win 1 Million CZK at Sparta Prague Match
A routine league match at Letná turned into a life-changing night for one Sparta Prague supporter. During the halftime contest sponsored by Betano, a fan named Martin fired a shot from the halfway line straight into a small target goal and walked away with a prize worth 1 million Czech crowns.
A Halftime Strike for the Ages
On Tuesday, 28 October 2025, Sparta Prague defeated Bohemians 1905 by a score of 2-1. But while the home team completed a comeback on the pitch, the moment of the evening arrived during halftime. As part of the “Betano Milionový Kop” activation, Martin delivered a perfect long-range strike that landed him a jackpot normally reserved for fairy tales.
The prize is subject to taxation, meaning the winner will keep around 850,000 CZK after deductions. Still, turning a single kick into nearly a million crowns ensured that Martin left the stadium with memories to last a lifetime.

Only the Second Winner in the Contest’s History
Betano’s million-kick challenge has been running since the start of the 2023/24 season. Until now, it had produced just one winner: fan Pavel Volkman, who scored his half-pitch goal during a match against Sigma Olomouc last September.
This time, the celebrations were even louder. Not only did Martin secure the biggest prize available, but Sparta rallied in the second half to claim three points and maintain their strong league position.
