GamCare Appoints Victoria Corbishley as New CEO
GamCare has announced the appointment of Victoria Corbishley as its new Chief Executive Officer. With extensive experience in healthcare transformation and service delivery, Corbishley steps into the role at a time when the charity is expanding its outreach and treatment services across the UK.

Extensive Leadership Background
Victoria Corbishley brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Senior Director of Health and Care at the British Red Cross, where she oversaw national health operations and strategy development for community services. Her career spans the NHS, the voluntary sector, and healthcare innovation, with a strong focus on evidence-based, person-centred care.
As GamCare expands its gambling harm prevention and support services, Corbishley will lead efforts to improve accessibility and collaboration with key stakeholders. The charity remains at the forefront of education, treatment, and intervention, responding to the growing demand for its services.
A Commitment to Enhancing Services
Reflecting on her new role, Corbishley stated:
“I am honoured to join GamCare at this crucial time. Last year alone, GamCare’s National Gambling Helpline received over 55,000 calls and online chats. The charity also directly delivered more than 9,100 structured treatment sessions, referred over 7,100 individuals to other regional support providers, and 64,000 people participated in the charity’s education programmes. These numbers highlight the essential role GamCare plays in supporting those affected by gambling harms, and reinforce our commitment to accessible, high-quality care. My focus will be on ensuring GamCare remains a leader in delivering life-changing interventions while working closely with partners across the NHS and wider sector to shape the future of gambling harm prevention treatment.”
Board’s Perspective on the Appointment
Margot Daly, Chair of the Board, emphasized Corbishley’s role in strengthening GamCare’s partnerships:
“As GamCare navigates the evolving landscape, Victoria’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our collaborations with the NHS as well as UKRI and OHID as the new prevention commissioner. Her strategic mindset, operational expertise, and commitment to innovation align perfectly with our mission. I look forward to working with Victoria as we continue to expand GamCare’s impact and ensure our services remain responsive to the needs of those we support.”
