ITIA Records 26 Suspicious Betting Alerts in Q3 2025
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has identified 26 suspicious betting alerts in the third quarter of 2025, including one connected to the US Open. Alongside these findings, the agency issued disciplinary sanctions to 16 individuals for breaching the Tennis Anti-Corruption Programme (TACP).

ITIA strengthens monitoring of betting activity
According to the ITIA’s latest update, the agency gathered all alerts through cooperation agreements with licensed betting operators. Most reports came from ATP Challenger 50 tournaments, while six originated from the Men’s World Tennis Tour 25s and another six from the 15s. In addition, two alerts came from Challenger 75 events, and one each from the Challenger 125 and 100 circuits. Notably, one alert concerned the US Open, one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments.
Although each alert signals potential irregularities, it does not automatically indicate corruption. The agency explained that unexpected betting patterns can result from several factors, such as player fitness, fatigue, or inaccurate odds-setting. When analysts detect signs of possible misconduct, ITIA immediately begins a confidential investigation and gathers evidence from various sources. Furthermore, the organization continues to collaborate with operators, regulators, and law enforcement to strengthen global integrity standards.
ITIA enforces anti-corruption measures
During the same quarter, the ITIA imposed disciplinary actions on 16 individuals for breaking anti-corruption rules. Thai player Jatuporn Na Lamphun and Italian official Francesco Totaro received lifetime bans, while Uzbekistani official Murod Abdurakhimov faced a 20-year suspension. Croatian player Lauro Milanovic received an eight-year ban, Bulgarian Simon Ivanov five years, and Polish player Artsiom Dabryian three years.
Moreover, the agency issued smaller penalties to Rakhimbek Ibrakhimov (21 months), Imran Sibille (one year), Stefano Reitano (seven months), and Luc Fomba (two months). Chinese players Li Wenfu and Zhang Jin remain provisionally suspended. The Court of Arbitration for Sport also upheld bans for Melina Ferrero and Sofia Luini, rejecting both appeals. Through consistent enforcement, ITIA aims to deter future match manipulation and preserve trust in professional tennis.
