Key Figures to Join Gaming in Spain Conference

The 2025 Gaming in Spain Conference, scheduled for June 26 in Madrid, will bring together key figures from both the Spanish and international iGaming sectors. The updated agenda includes high-level speakers, breakout workshops, and expanded networking opportunities.

Expanded Speaker Lineup Announced

The conference has confirmed the addition of two new speakers: Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Bets at Brazil’s Ministry of Finance, who will join remotely, and Ewa Bakun, Director of Industry Insight and Engagement at Clarion Gaming. Their participation enhances a program that already features some of the most influential voices in the industry.

Other confirmed speakers include Mikel Arana, Director General of the DGOJ; Xavi Muñoz, Partner at ECIJA Law Firm; Jorge Hinojosa, Director General of Jdigital; Ester Martin-Ortega, Head of Public Affairs and Sustainability at Flutter Entertainment; and Ed Birkin, Managing Director of H2 Gambling Capital.

Focus on Spanish Market with a Latin American Perspective

Willem van Oort, Founder of Gaming in Spain, emphasized the conference’s continued focus on Spain’s regulated iGaming environment, while acknowledging the importance of broader regional insights:

“We are extremely pleased with this year’s speaker lineup. GiS Conference attendees will hear directly from both the Spanish and Brazilian regulator, as well as many other key decision makers. Considering the growing attractiveness of various Latin American markets, we thought it opportune to look a bit beyond Span’s borders this year. Even so, the event’s primary focus remains Spain’s regulated iGaming market, and if your organization is active in this market – either as an operator or service provider – this event is not to be missed.”

A dedicated session led by Dr. Andreas Ditsche, CEO of iGaming.com, will explore the search behavior and preferences of Spanish iGaming users. This analysis will provide valuable market intelligence for both operators and service providers interested in understanding local player dynamics.

Workshops and Networking Opportunities

On June 25, the day before the main event, three in-depth workshops will be held. Organized by Chevron Consultants, these sessions will address internal audits and the EU AI Act, GDPR compliance for websites, and strategies for fostering a learning culture within iGaming organizations. Attendance is free for registered conference participants.

The conference also includes extensive networking opportunities during coffee breaks, lunch, and evening drinks. Attendees are additionally invited to the Jdigital Awards ceremony on June 26, which celebrates significant contributions to the development of Spain’s online gambling market.
