Kindred Group Releases Responsible Gambling Metrics for Sweden

Kindred Group has published its bi-annual report on responsible gambling metrics in the Swedish market, covering July to December 2024. The report examines the impact of proactive interventions on customer behavior.

Key Metrics Overview

Licensed operators in Sweden publish these metrics every six months. The data includes the percentage of customers contacted due to problematic gambling, the impact of proactive contacts, and the reduction in gambling activity.

It also tracks the share of contacted customers who self-exclude within six months and after six months.

Industry Collaboration

In October 2022, ATG, Svenska Spel, and Kindred agreed to collaborate on publishing harmful gambling data.

This initiative aims to increase public awareness and promote informed discussions about reducing gambling harm.

Impact of Proactive Contacts

The report indicates that 74.2% of contacted customers reduced their gambling, based on deposits, due to proactive contacts.

This figure is slightly lower than the 76.9% reported in the first half of 2024.

Self-Exclusion Rates

There was an increase in the share of contacted customers who chose to self-exclude from Kindred’s platform.

Specifically, 2.4% self-excluded in less than six months, and 2.2% self-excluded in six months or longer.

Svenska Spel’s Healthy Revenue Share

In related news, Svenska Spel recently published its healthy revenue share for its latest financial report.

In Q4, the operator achieved a healthy revenue share of 93.9%, with the healthy revenue share up for the full year.
