Ksa Warns 711 Over Use of Influencer
The Dutch Gambling Authority (Ksa) has addressed online gambling operator 711 B.V. for using an influencer in promotional content. This practice violates the national ban on role models in gambling advertising. The rules aim to protect vulnerable groups, including minors and high-risk players, from exposure to gambling promotions.

Ban on Role Models in Gambling Advertising
The Ksa prohibits online gambling operators from using role models such as professional athletes, actors, models, and influencers in marketing campaigns. The influencer working with 711 has a strong following among young audiences and is known for streaming popular video games.

He also holds a public-facing position that brings him into frequent contact with minors. Because of these factors, the Ksa informed 711 that all promotional material featuring the influencer must be removed. This requirement includes deleting or altering video content in which the influencer appears with references to the operator.
711 has confirmed that the partnership has ended and has begun the process of removing the relevant material. The Ksa again stressed that operators must closely examine who they choose for promotional activities.
Concerns Over Automatic Entry Into Tournaments
The Ksa also addressed another issue involving 711. The operator had offered tournaments in which players participated automatically, without registering or agreeing to bonus conditions. This practice can encourage excessive gambling behavior and undermine informed player consent.

According to the Ksa, players must always actively accept bonus terms before entering such promotions. The authority stated that automatic participation creates risks because players may not understand the conditions or the potential consequences.
711 confirmed that it has stopped offering tournaments in this manner. The regulator underlined that operators must design promotional mechanics that support responsible play.
