KSA Warns TonyBet Over Lack of Dutch-Speaking Customer Support

The Dutch gambling regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), has reprimanded TonyBet for failing to provide 24/7 Dutch-language telephone customer service.

Regulatory Breach Identified

Licensed operators in the Netherlands are required to offer support in Dutch at all times to ensure player protection and regulatory compliance.

Although TonyBet has held a Dutch gambling license for some time, its website only went live in late 2024. Shortly after launch, a player reported that customer support was only available in English. This prompted Ksa to intervene, reminding TonyBet of its obligation to provide Dutch-language support at all hours.

Immediate Corrective Action

In response, TonyBet swiftly took measures to rectify the issue. The company expanded its Dutch-speaking customer support team, ensuring that telephone assistance is now available 24/7 in Dutch, in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
