Bio

Academic Background and Early Career

Groes holds a PhD and MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen. He further expanded his academic credentials through research at the London School of Economics and as a visiting scholar at Harvard University. His early professional career included roles as an economist at Garantifonden for Danske Optioner og Futures and as Vicekontorchef at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. These positions provided him with a strong foundation in financial analysis, market behavior, and regulatory frameworks.

First Steps in Technology and Gaming

In 1998, Groes co-founded Kapow Technologies, a company focused on data integration software. The business, later acquired by Kofax, marked his entry into the tech industry. In 2001, he turned his attention to the betting sector by launching BetBrain, an odds comparison platform designed to aggregate betting data from multiple bookmakers.

Founding EveryMatrix

In 2008, Groes co-founded EveryMatrix with the vision of delivering flexible, modular solutions to gaming operators. Unlike many competitors offering single-platform systems, EveryMatrix developed independent products for different aspects of online gaming, including casino aggregation, sportsbook technology, payment processing, and affiliate management.

Under Groes’ leadership, EveryMatrix has grown significantly, employing over 1,300 professionals across multiple locations. The company has expanded its reach through strategic acquisitions, including:
