George Rover

George Rover serves as the Executive Director of the Responsible Gambling Affiliate Association (RGAA), a trade association established in 2023 by six prominent U.S.-facing affiliate companies: Better Collective, Catena Media, FairPlay Sports Media, Gambling.com Group, Spotlight Sports Group, and XLMedia plc. The RGAA focuses on advocating for responsible gambling marketing and advertising practices, sensible regulation, and consumer protection.

Bio

Professional Background

Before his role at the RGAA, Rover held several senior positions within the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, the Office of the Attorney General, and the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE). At the NJDGE, he oversaw the Service Industry Licensing, Casino Prosecutions, Internet Gaming, and Technical Services Bureaus. Notably, he directed the successful launch of internet gaming in New Jersey and supervised complex licensing processes and investigations.

After retiring from government service, Rover collaborated with leading gaming companies to establish the Sports Wagering Integrity Monitoring Association (SWIMA), a national non-profit organization aimed at detecting and deterring fraud and illegal activities related to sports betting.

Role at RGAA

As Executive Director of the RGAA, Rover is tasked with executing the association’s mission to promote responsible gambling marketing and advertising practices. His responsibilities include advocating for the needs and interests of the RGAA’s member organizations, promoting sensible regulation, fostering collaboration with industry stakeholders, and upholding high standards of integrity within the affiliate marketing sector.

In addition to his role at the RGAA, Rover continues to support companies in the gaming industry through his strategic advisory firm, Princeton Global Strategies.
