Early Career and Education

Moti Malul holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and also studied at Bar-Ilan University. His academic background in business and management laid the foundation for a career rooted in strategic thinking.

Before entering the iGaming industry, he spent over a decade in telecom and internet services. He held senior roles in sales, marketing, and product management at companies like Ericsson and Smile Media. These positions helped him develop a strong commercial mindset and cross-functional expertise.

Leadership at NeoGames and Aristocrat Interactive

Malul joined NeoGames in 2008 as Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development. At that time, the company was still in its early stages. He helped drive expansion into regulated lottery markets, including Italy and Portugal. He also played a key role in launching NeoPollard Interactive, a joint venture that brought NeoGames into the U.S. lottery market.

In 2018, he was appointed CEO. Under his leadership, NeoGames went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2020. Recognizing the need for diversification, Malul guided the acquisition of Aspire Global, bringing Pariplay and BtoBet into the group. This move expanded the company’s reach into sports betting and casino games.

Following Aristocrat’s $1.2 billion acquisition of NeoGames in 2024, Malul became CEO of Aristocrat Interactive. He now leads the combined global iGaming and lottery operations, overseeing a team of more than 1,200 employees.

Malul helped reshape the lottery sector by introducing online scratchcards and digital-first solutions. He built strong partnerships with lotteries around the world, and he led the company through one of the industry’s most successful IPOs. As a result, NeoGames became a significant player across North America and Europe.

Leadership Style and Vision

Malul believes leadership starts with people. He has championed internal programs to train and develop new managers, arguing that professional skills are not enough – management abilities must grow alongside them. He places the right people in the right roles and fosters loyalty through trust and support.

His approach is hands-on. He works closely with customers, viewing them as long-term partners. Internally, he encourages teamwork and mutual respect. He once described his leadership team as “The Avengers,” reflecting a culture of collaboration and shared purpose.

Malul also focuses on scaling the organization effectively. He believes that structure and culture must evolve together to support growth. This mindset has helped him lead companies through periods of rapid expansion without compromising operational stability.
