Maartje Geven Appointed Chief Technology Officer at Nederlandse Loterij
Nederlandse Loterij has named Maartje Geven as its new chief technology and information officer, marking her entry into the gambling industry after a long career in finance.
New Leadership at Dutch Lottery
Maartje Geven is set to become the chief technology and information officer at Nederlandse Loterij, effective March 1, 2025. This appointment also includes a directorship within the company.
Geven’s arrival follows the departure of former chief technology officer Maurice Meijer, and she brings a wealth of experience from the finance sector, notably her 17-year tenure at ING, where she held the position of IT lead.
This marks Geven’s first foray into the gambling industry, following a career primarily in finance. Her extensive background at ING, where she progressed to IT leadership, positions her to bring a fresh perspective to the technology and information strategies of Nederlandse Loterij. The Dutch state lottery is looking to leverage her experience to further its technological advancements.
