Leah Mayo steps into her role at MetaBet with a decade of operational leadership behind her, covering startups, consulting, and public-sector engagements. Her appointment marks a step forward in strengthening MetaBet’s organizational structure as the company deepens its presence in the real-time sports betting and engagement technology space.
At MetaBet, Mayo will work directly with CEO Mark Phillip to streamline internal operations. Her scope includes overseeing finance, HR, compliance, and sales support functions. By establishing clear operational frameworks, Mayo is expected to help the company maintain a disciplined approach to innovation and growth.
Industry and Startup Experience Brought to the Fore
Before joining MetaBet, Mayo held roles as an independent consultant and fractional COO for global companies in the travel and hospitality industries. Her work focused on expanding into the U.S. market and improving go-to-market strategies. Additionally, she founded FOUND Experience, a travel tech venture recognized as “One to Watch 2020” by BuiltIn.
Mayo’s background also includes time working with the British government, advising technology companies. From high-growth startups to Fortune 5 firms on internationalization strategies. She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
