MGA warns players about websites falsely claiming Maltese licenses

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has warned players about several gambling websites that falsely claim to hold an MGA license. The regulator urged users to verify licensing details and highlighted the risks of using unlicensed operators.

MGA distances itself from specific websites

The MGA clarified that it has no connection with several domains. These include nagacash9x.com, nagacash9b.homes, nagacash9b.beauty, nagacash9b.online, and ebet.agency/en/faq.

The authority stated that any mention of an MGA license on these platforms is false and misleading.

Regulator reminds users about licensing checks

The authority encouraged players to confirm the licensing status of gambling operators. It noted that licensed platforms must follow strict legal standards designed to protect users.

By contrast, unlicensed operators do not meet these requirements and may expose players to risks such as unfair practices or financial loss.

Part of broader enforcement strategy

This warning comes as part of the MGA’s wider enforcement approach. In 2023, the authority issued fewer gaming licenses compared to previous years.

At the same time, it increased regulatory actions to improve compliance across the sector.

MGA strengthens international cooperation

The MGA also continues to develop partnerships with foreign regulators. It recently reached agreements with the UK Gambling Commission to reinforce cross-border cooperation.
