Midnite Offers £25,000 to Fans for 147 Breaks at World Snooker Championship

Fans attending the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre could walk away with £25,000, thanks to a new campaign launched by official tournament partner, Midnite.

Enhancing the Fan Experience

As part of its sponsorship of the 2025 event, Midnite has introduced “The Midnite Maximum” – a promotion that awards £25,000 to a randomly selected audience member if a player hits a 147 maximum break during a session.

At the start of each session, one seat number will be drawn at random. If a player compiles the perfect break – the sport’s highest possible score – the fan in that seat will win the cash prize.

Nick Wright, co-founder of Midnite, commented:

“At Midnite, we’re passionate about bringing fans closer to the games they love. The Crucible theatre is one of the most intimate venues in world sport and it is never more electric than when a player is closing in on a maximum break. With Midnite Maximum, our aim is to bring fans even closer to the emotion and tension that the players experience when achieving snooker perfection.”

Celebrating Snooker’s Most Elusive Achievement

A 147 break is the highest possible score in snooker and remains one of the sport’s rarest achievements. So far, players have made 14 maximums at the Crucible, including two in the 2023 tournament.

This week, Jackson Page made history in the qualifying rounds. He became the first player to hit two maximums in a single professional match, securing victory over Allan Taylor.
