Nederlandse Loterij Acquires Full Ownership of Lotify
Nederlandse Loterij has completed the full acquisition of Lotify, the digital platform that supports sports federations, sports clubs, charities, events, and companies in organising fundraising lotteries and prize campaigns. With the deal, the state-owned operator strengthens its position as an innovative and responsible provider of games of chance in the Dutch market.

Strengthening Dutch Fundraising Capabilities
Nederlandse Loterij has held a majority stake in Lotify since 2021. The platform offers an end-to-end solution for running compliant lotteries and promotional prize actions – from licensing and technological infrastructure to player communication, draws, and payouts. Arjan Blok, CEO of Nederlandse Loterij, emphasised the strategic value of the acquisition, noting the organisation’s long-standing experience in regulated gaming:
“Nederlandse Loterij has nearly 300 years of experience in organising enjoyable and responsible games of chance. As a full part of Nederlandse Loterij, Lotify can benefit even more from our knowledge, our network, and our clout. This enables us to support even more sports federations, clubs, and charities. Especially in times like these, they are looking for new ways to raise funds.”
By fully integrating Lotify, Nederlandse Loterij aims to simplify access to legally compliant fundraising tools for organisations that increasingly rely on additional revenue streams.
Founder Concludes Four-year Collaboration
Lotify founder Guy van Iperen said the acquisition follows the roadmap agreed upon when Nederlandse Loterij originally bought its majority stake:
“After four years of intensive cooperation, the time has come to transfer Lotify to Nederlandse Loterij. This aligns with the agreements we made in 2021, when Nederlandse Loterij acquired the majority of shares. I look back with pride at what we have built together and have full confidence that the platform will continue to grow under this new owner. In this way, Lotify can help even more organisations generate additional financial resources.”
The acquisition comes at a time when many Dutch sports associations and non-profit organisations face tightening budgets and rising operating costs.
By offering a compliant digital solution, Nederlandse Loterij reinforces its public mission of funding sports and good causes – areas that annually receive hundreds of millions in contributions from the operator.Lotify will continue operating under its existing brand, now fully backed by Nederlandse Loterij’s resources and regulatory expertise.
