Paddy Power Donates £60,000 to Prostate Cancer UK After Historic Nine-Darter at World Darts Championship
Perfect Leg Raises £180,000 for Charity and Fans
Christian Kist’s perfect leg triggered a £180,000 bonus donation from Paddy Power, divided into three equal parts. £60,000 will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK, £60,000 awarded to Kist himself, and another £60,000 given to a lucky fan in attendance at Alexandra Palace last night.

“This perfect leg of darts means Christian has etched his name in the darting history books – but he’s also helped raise an incredible £180,000 to be split between himself, one lucky fan and Prostate Cancer UK, thanks to Paddy Power”, said Laura Kerby, Chief Executive of Prostate Cancer UK.
The Bigger 180 campaign continues to donate £1,000 for every 180 scored during the tournament, with funds supporting Prostate Cancer UK’s Transform trial, which aims to develop effective screening methods for early detection and treatment of the disease.
Rashad Sweeting Adds to the Cause
On the previous night, Rashad Sweeting made headlines by opting to aim for a 180 instead of playing conservatively, landing it and triggering another £1,000 donation from Paddy Power.
In recognition, Paddy Power pledged to cover his travel costs to and from the Bahamas, lauding his bold move as part of their commitment to the Bigger 180 campaign.
Chris Hoy, serving as an ambassador for the campaign, reinforces the importance of raising awareness for prostate cancer through innovative initiatives in sports. The World Darts Championship has once again highlighted the sport’s ability to make a meaningful impact beyond the game itself.
