pferdewetten.de Secures Exclusive Rights to Acquire HAPPYBET’s German Betting Shops

pferdewetten.de has signed a major deal with Trinity Bet Operations Ltd., a Playtech Group subsidiary, to acquire HAPPYBET’s German retail betting operations. The transaction includes exclusive rights to absorb around 600 devices and integrate the locations under the sportwetten.de brand, marking a strategic expansion in Germany’s competitive retail sports betting market.

Exclusive Rights to Acquire Happybet Shops

Pferdewetten.de has secured exclusive rights to take over Happybet’s retail betting operations in Germany. The deal includes acquiring about 600 devices, such as advanced betting terminals and cashier systems. The company will integrate these assets into its sportwetten.de brand, ensuring a smooth transition with no service interruptions.

CEO Pierre Hofer outlined the deal’s financial and strategic advantages. He expects the company to incorporate a medium double-digit number of shops within three months. This expansion should boost annual hold by approximately €7 million and generate over €1 million in additional EBITDA.

Strengthened Market Position

Hofer explained that close coordination with the seller allowed for a seamless transition. The company avoided operational delays and didn’t need extra regulatory approvals. He also noted that this move brings Pferdewetten.de AG closer to its goal of running over 300 retail betting shops under the sportwetten.de brand by the end of 2025.

This agreement marks a major step in the company’s growth strategy. By expanding its retail footprint, Pferdewetten.de strengthens its position in Germany’s competitive sports betting market.
