Play’n GO Releases 2024 Sustainability Report
Play’n GO has published its second annual sustainability report, detailing its environmental and social performance in 2024. The document highlights notable progress in areas such as carbon reduction, player protection, responsible product development, and employee engagement.

Key Progress Across Core Sustainability Pillars
The 2024 report outlines Play’n GO’s efforts across four sustainability pillars: Players, Partners, People, and Planet. Over the past year, the company entered 13 new regulated markets and released 56 new titles, reflecting both commercial growth and an ongoing commitment to regulated, responsible gaming.
Operational improvements also included achieving zero operational water usage in seven of eight global sites and reducing Scope 2 carbon emissions by 80%.
Industry-First ESG Certification
One of the headline milestones was Play’n GO becoming the first and only B2B licensee to receive the ESG-C Tier 2 certification from the Malta Gaming Authority. This recognition underscores the company’s focus on aligning with internationally recognized ESG standards and integrating sustainability across its operations.
Vanessa Arenram, Director of CSR at Play’n GO, commented:
“Our second annual Sustainability Report highlights how Play’n GO continues to lead with integrity, innovation, and transparency. Sustainability isn’t just a report—it is a deeply ingrained part of our culture and strategy. We’re committed to shaping a responsible, safe, and entertaining future for the industry, and this report illustrates the real progress made possible by the passion and dedication of our teams and partners.”
Addressing Harmful Game Mechanics
The report also emphasizes Play’n GO’s advocacy work against potentially harmful game mechanics. In 2024, the company released survey findings showing widespread public support for banning Bonus Buy features. These insights support Play’n GO’s stance on player protection and ethical game design.
Play’n GO completed its transition to a Digital First culture in 2024, which significantly reduced its environmental footprint. The company also achieved zero water usage in almost all of its locations, in line with broader resource-efficiency goals.
Internally, Play’n GO expanded employee engagement initiatives, including sustainability training, global volunteer programs, and a new Volunteering Time Off policy. These programs contributed to community projects and helped reinforce ESG values across teams worldwide.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Play’n GO plans to further refine its sustainability metrics in 2025, strengthening alignment with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company will also continue fostering partnerships based on shared commitments to ESG standards, responsible gaming, and long-term industry resilience.
