Sam Leggott Appointed Director of Gaming Operations at LeoVegas Group
Sam Leggott has been appointed Director of Gaming Operations at LeoVegas Group, the MGM Resorts-owned company. The promotion comes just four months after he took on the role of Head of Gaming Performance.

Career at LeoVegas
Sam Leggott joined LeoVegas Group in February 2020 after working at Playzido. Since then, he has held six different roles within the company, marking one of the most dynamic career paths in the organisation. Most recently, he served as Head of Gaming Performance before stepping into his new director-level role.
During his time at LeoVegas, Leggott has played a key role in building partnerships with major suppliers. He was instrumental in the deal between Bragg Gaming and BetMGM Brazil, as well as in adding Relax Gaming to LeoVegas’ roster of partners.

Before joining LeoVegas, Leggott built extensive experience across the gambling industry. He began his career in 2008 at William Hill as a Telephone Betting Agent, followed by positions at Betclic, Kindred Group, BGO Group, Paddy Power Betfair, and Playzido.

LeoVegas Group operates nine brands across 10 jurisdictions, with a strong focus on the European market. The company’s headquarters are in Stockholm, with its operational hub in Malta. In recent years, it has reinforced its footprint in the UK, demonstrated not only by Leggott’s promotion but also by the opening of a new office in Leeds.
LeoVegas Group was acquired by MGM Resorts in 2022. Founder and long-time CEO Gustaf Hagman continued to lead the company until summer 2025, when he was succeeded by Mattias Wedar.
