Scientific Games Extends Scratch Card Partnership with FDJ for Three More Years
Scientific Games has secured a three-year renewal of its primary scratch card partnership with France’s national lottery operator, La Française des Jeux (FDJ), continuing a collaboration that began in 1989.

Long-Standing Collaboration Renewed
The partnership between Scientific Games and FDJ, which started nearly four decades ago, will persist through this new agreement following a competitive tender process.
Scratch cards remain the largest segment in FDJ’s gaming portfolio, engaging more than 27 million players. The continued collaboration ensures that FDJ can maintain and expand its range of scratch card games, which are a major attraction for its extensive customer base.
Innovations Enhance Player Experience
In October 2022, Scientific Games and FDJ introduced iDecide, a lottery game enhancement that allows instant scratch card players to continue playing after their initial game. This innovation aims to boost player engagement and satisfaction.
FDJ selected Scientific Games in part due to the company’s dedication to environmental protection, aligning with FDJ’s goals to reduce the lottery industry’s carbon footprint. Both organizations prioritize operating in a sustainable and responsible manner.
Executive Insights on the Partnership
Patrick Buffard, FDJ’s Chief French Lottery and Retail Sportsbetting Business Unit Officer, stated: “We are delighted to renew our long-standing partnership spanning four decades.
