Sportradar Appoints Behshad Behzadi as CTO and CAIO
Sportradar Group has announced the appointment of Behshad Behzadi as its new Chief Technology Officer and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CTO and CAIO), starting May 1.
Leveraging Extensive Experience in AI and Technology
Behzadi’s extensive background includes pivotal roles at Google, where he was instrumental in their AI-first strategy. His work contributed to the development of Google Assistant, Google Lens, Google Smart Display, and the Next Gen Assistant. With a PhD in Bioinformatics from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Behzadi is well-equipped for his role at Sportradar.
Strategic Role of the New CTO and CAIO
In his new role, Behzadi will report directly to CEO Carsten Koerl and lead the company’s efforts to leverage AI and other cutting-edge technologies.
His focus will be on enhancing product offerings and delivering hyper-personalized experiences for sports fans, as well as driving operational efficiencies within the company.
A Strong Addition to the Leadership Team
April saw Sportradar welcome Craig Felenstein as its new CFO, whose financial expertise complements Behzadi’s tech-savvy, strengthening Sportradar’s leadership team.
