Sportradar Completes Acquisition of IMG ARENA

Sportradar has finalized the acquisition of IMG ARENA and its global sports betting rights portfolio from Endeavor Group Holdings and OB Global Holdings. Sportradar expects the newly added assets to support future revenue and free cash flow growth.

Expanded Access to Global Sports Data

The acquired portfolio includes commercial relationships with more than 70 rightsholders. It adds around 38,000 official data events and 29,000 live streaming events annually, across 14 sports on six continents. With the integration of IMG ARENA content, Sportradar’s total global coverage will exceed 1 million matches each year.

Sportradar said the expanded content library will support the development and distribution of betting products through its technology platform. The additional rights are expected to be monetized across an established network of operator clients, particularly in major sports such as soccer, tennis and basketball.

Financial Structure with Future Gains

The company said the acquisition is designed to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA margins and free cash flow conversion. The transaction does not require Sportradar to make a financial payment. Instead, the deal structure includes $225 million in benefit to Sportradar, consisting of $122 million in cash prepayments made by the seller to rightsholders and approximately $103 million payable directly to Sportradar over a two-year period, subject to standard adjustments.

Carsten Koerl, Chief Executive Officer of Sportradar, commented:

“We are pleased to complete the acquisition of IMG ARENA. This marks a significant milestone for Sportradar expanding our access to premium sports content that strengthens and complements our already robust global portfolio and capabilities. With this, we are uniquely positioned to deliver even more immersive, data rich experiences to our clients, partners and fans around the world while accelerating innovation at scale across the global sports ecosystem.”
