Supreme Court of Georgia Invalidates SPRIBE’s Aviator Trademarks
On May 20, 2025, the Supreme Court of Georgia dismissed an appeal by SPRIBE, thereby finalizing the invalidation of the company’s Aviator-related trademarks in Georgia. The court confirmed that the marks had been registered in violation of Aviator LLC’s copyright and without proper legal basis.

Final Decision Upholds Lower Court Rulings
The ruling follows earlier decisions in Georgia that questioned the legality of SPRIBE’s trademark filings. In its final judgment, the Supreme Court determined that the registrations were not made in accordance with national trademark and copyright standards.
The case concerned both the Aviator word mark and the graphic element featuring an airplane image. These elements are now formally recognized in Georgia as the intellectual property of Aviator LLC.
The decision concludes legal proceedings in Georgia but comes amid ongoing trademark disputes in other regions.
EUIPO Proceedings Ongoing
A separate case remains pending before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), where Aviator LLC has filed for the invalidation of SPRIBE’s Aviator trademarks within the EU. According to procedural records, SPRIBE has requested three extensions of the response deadline in that matter.
No decision has yet been issued in the EUIPO case, and proceedings are ongoing.
