Svenska Spel 2025 Growth Driven by Eurojackpot and Oddset

Svenska Spel reported that its net gaming revenue for January–September 2025 rose, driven primarily by the success of the Eurojackpot and Oddset brands. Two out of three business segments posted growth, supporting a stronger operating result compared with the same period last year.

Eurojackpot and Oddset Drive Performance

In the third quarter of 2025, Svenska Spel achieved net gaming revenue of €162 million, marking a 7 percent increase year-on-year. The lottery and gaming segment grew by 7 percent, supported by increased player interest in Eurojackpot after two major jackpot wins in Sweden and record weekly sales in September. The sport and casino division recorded a 9 percent rise, fuelled by higher engagement in sports betting under the Oddset brand and continued growth in online casino.

The land-based Vegas segment, however, experienced a 10 percent decline due to weaker performance among retail partners and broader economic challenges. Despite this, Svenska Spel’s operating profit rose by 19 percent to €62 million, while the operating margin improved from 35 to 38 percent. Digital channels continued to play an increasingly important role, accounting for 65 percent of total revenue—up from 60 percent a year earlier.

Digital Growth Strengthens Overall Results

For the first nine months of 2025, Svenska Spel’s total net gaming revenue reached €480 million, representing a 2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Online sales grew by 9 percent, reflecting a steady shift from retail to digital gaming channels. The company’s operating profit for the period amounted to €164 million, up 8 percent year-on-year, with a margin of 34 percent.

During the third quarter alone, Svenska Spel awarded over €70 million in prize money, including a €35 million Eurojackpot win—one of the largest in its history. CEO Anna Johnson stated that the results highlight customers’ continued trust in Svenska Spel’s brands and the strength of its product offering.
