Tabcorp restructures leadership with new roles
Tabcorp Holdings Limited has today announced a major overhaul of its executive leadership team with two new positions aimed at sharpening its focus on wagering and media. These changes are part of the company’s strategy under CEO Gillon McLachlan.
Simplified leadership
The new chief wagering officer (CWO) and chief commercial and media officer (CCMO) roles will integrate operations, consolidate resources and drive revenue. They will harness Tabcorp’s assets in the Australian wagering and media space.
The CWO will oversee key areas including digital, retail, trading, marketing and product innovation. This role will consolidate these areas to create a single wagering platform across the TAB. Recruitment for this role is underway and will be announced in early 2025.
In the meantime the CCMO will focus on building Tabcorp’s domestic and international media assets, including Sky Racing, and will manage the company’s gaming services business, Max. Jarrod Villani has been appointed to this role and has a strong background in media and commercial strategy.
Supporting Business Functions
To support these changes Tabcorp has appointed Narelle McKenzie as chief legal officer, bringing her deep knowledge of regulatory and legal matters. Robert Fraser who has been part of the company’s transformation journey will now be chief technology and transformation officer, focusing on digital and operational improvement.
As part of this transformation the roles of chief customer officer and chief information officer will be phased out. The restructure is about having a more integrated and agile leadership team to support the company’s strategy.
