Thunderkick Expands into Finland via Veikkaus Deal
The Swedish slots developer brings its games to Finnish players for the first time through a new partnership with the national gambling monopoly.
Thunderkick’s First Step into Finland
Swedish game studio Thunderkick has officially entered the Finnish market, marking a new chapter in its European expansion. The move comes through a distribution agreement with Veikkaus, Finland’s state-owned gambling company. The deal was facilitated by aggregator EveryMatrix, enabling Thunderkick’s content to reach a new national audience.
This is the first time Finnish players will have access to Thunderkick’s portfolio. Titles such as Esqueleto Explosivo 2, Hot Potato, and Midas Golden Touch are now available through Veikkaus’s platform, introducing locally licensed slots enthusiasts to the studio’s distinctive design and gameplay style.
Building on a Stronger European Footing
The Finnish launch follows a period of increased regulatory engagement for Thunderkick. In December 2024, the company secured an updated B2B licence in Denmark. Its entry into Finland reflects a broader push across the continent, with commercial plans also underway in Italy and the Netherlands.
Commenting on the rollout, Thunderkick CCO Svante Sahlström noted the importance of the move in the context of the company’s wider European roadmap.
