Tipico Introduces ‘Trusted Partner’ Quality Initiative to Combat Illegal Gambling

Tipico, provider of virtual slot games, has launched a new initiative, ‘Trusted Partner,’ aimed at supporting game manufacturers who voluntarily pledge not to supply their products to illegal gambling websites operating in Germany. These black-market offerings bypass German regulatory requirements, fail to provide reliable player protection, and evade taxes owed in Germany.

Tipico Supports Certified Companies as ‘Trusted Partner’

Manufacturers certified by Tipico as ‘Trusted Partner’ commit to offering their games exclusively to licensed and reliable operators within Germany. Additionally, they must promote responsible gaming and maintain transparency. In return, Tipico pledges to conduct all marketing activities – including TV campaigns, digital platforms, and CRM efforts – exclusively with partners awarded this certification.

At the launch of the initiative, the following game manufacturers have already joined the ‘Trusted Partner’ program: Apparat, Games Global, Greentube, Hölle Games, MERKUR, Play’n GO, SYNOT, and ZEAL.

Tipico’s Initiative Promotes Market Integrity

Christian Heins, Director of iGaming at Tipico, commented:

“We are very pleased that several major games manufacturers have fulfilled the requirements as ‘Trusted Partner’ at the start of our quality initiative already. Combating illegal offerings is essential for the successful channelization into the legal and safe market, and we are convinced that this goal can only be achieved in the long term through a joint effort by all stakeholders.’”

The ‘Trusted Partner’ initiative sends a strong message about the importance of a regulated market, supporting reputable providers, and ensuring a safe environment for players. Looking forward, Tipico plans to extend the initiative to include payment service providers and media partners.
