Ukrainian Police Raid Live Casino Studio Operating Illegally
A live casino studio in Ukraine has been shut down by the National Police for allegedly running illegal online gambling operations. As reported by Next.io, the raid resulted in over 120 arrests and the seizure of 60 gaming tables, cards, dice, servers, and computer equipment.

Illegal Operations and Fraudulent Practices
Authorities claim the company falsified data in the official gambling regulator’s register and operated outside the scope of its license. Although the identity of the company remains undisclosed, Next.io understands it to be an Asian-owned live casino provider.
The raid is part of a wider enforcement campaign against illegal gambling businesses in Ukraine, a country that has seen several similar closures in recent years. Some of these businesses were reportedly linked to Russian entities, adding another layer of scrutiny to the government’s efforts.
Ownership and Financial Details
Police revealed that the live casino studio’s co-owner had previously been sanctioned by the National Security and Defence Council. Following these sanctions, another co-owner became the ultimate beneficiary of the operation. The business has been active since 2021, primarily targeting Ukrainian players as well as those in European and Asian markets.
The operation used cryptocurrency for payments, with players able to select dealers from various countries, games, and bet sizes. Job postings for roles such as “TV presenters” or “studio administrators” were advertised on prominent online platforms to recruit live dealers.
The casino reportedly generated an annual turnover of $50 million, which was laundered through various channels. Under Ukrainian law, individuals involved in such illegal schemes face up to 12 years in prison. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities analyzing seized equipment and identifying all parties involved.
