ComplianceOne Group joins Netherlands Online Gambling Association

ComplianceOne Group, a leading compliance provider, has announced its membership in the Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA), solidifying its commitment to the Dutch market and reinforcing its position as a trusted compliance partner.

Representative body with prominent members

NOGA serves as a representative body for the online gambling industry in the Netherlands, bringing together regulated operators, suppliers, and other stakeholders to foster a secure and appealing market within the country. Prominent members of NOGA include Flutter, Entain, Kindred Group, and bet365.

In January 2022, ComplianceOne Group established a dedicated office in the Netherlands, responding to the growing demand for compliance services in the region. Since then, it has emerged as the preferred compliance provider for both operators and suppliers seeking to expand their presence in the Dutch market. Notably, ComplianceOne Group’s subsidiary, Diligence in Gaming, entered into a comprehensive partnership last year with operator Smart Gaming to support the launch of its betnation.nl brand.

Mike de Graaff, Head of Regulatory Services & Assurance at Diligence in Gaming, commented on the significance of joining NOGA, stating, “Membership of NOGA is an important milestone for ComplianceOne Group as we aim to further assist our partners in the Netherlands. With the evolving Dutch regulatory landscape, NOGA membership enables us to better serve operators and suppliers exploring exciting new opportunities in this market.”

The crucial role of compliance expertise

Peter-Paul de Goeij, Managing Director at NOGA, expressed his enthusiasm for the addition of ComplianceOne Group to the association, emphasizing the crucial role of top-tier compliance expertise in building a thriving, safe, and sustainable online gambling market in the Netherlands. The Group’s extensive knowledge in both regulatory and technical compliance is expected to bring significant value to NOGA’s members.

Earlier this year, de Graaff highlighted the challenges faced by operators following the Dutch Gaming Authority’s update on the ongoing investigation into operators’ duty of care towards players. He stressed the importance of not treating regulation as a mere box-ticking exercise but instead adopting a comprehensive and proactive approach to compliance.

ComplianceOne Group’s membership in NOGA reflects its dedication to supporting operators and suppliers navigating the evolving regulatory landscape in the Netherlands. With its expertise and commitment to compliance, the company aims to contribute to the establishment of a responsible and successful online gambling market in the country.
