William Hill Unveils Bold ‘Who You Got?’ Campaign with Football Legend Eric Cantona

In anticipation of the upcoming 2023/24 football season, William Hill, the renowned bookmaker, has launched its dynamic marketing and advertising campaign titled ‘Who You Got?’ The campaign will be spearheaded by football legend Eric Cantona, a former Premier League player and Manchester United icon.

Fresh dimension

As William Hill’s official brand ambassador for the next two years, Eric Cantona will take centre stage in the bookmaker’s new above-the-line (ATL) campaign, as well as its online, digital, and social media advertising throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The move signifies William Hill’s shift towards a more disruptive and distinctive marketing strategy.

The creative content featuring Cantona will also adorn prominent out-of-home sites across the UK and Ireland, showcasing the legendary footballer in unique and captivating scenarios, from North London bottling plants to the vast open sea, to underscore the campaign’s intriguing nature.

The ‘Who You Got?’ campaign adds a fresh dimension to William Hill’s existing ‘Brotherhood’ brand position by employing bolder creative elements aimed at igniting football-related conversations in both betting and non-betting contexts. Accompanied by Rudimental’s hit track ‘Feel the Love,’ the campaign is inspired by Cantona’s distinctive personality, both on and off the pitch. It expertly blends realism, surrealism, fantasy, and reality, building anticipation and excitement ahead of the upcoming season.

The blend of charisma humour and provocation

Set to kick off on 2nd August, the campaign will introduce several innovative marketing features to generate enthusiasm around significant moments in the sporting calendar and foster engagement with the brand’s ‘EPIC Value products throughout the football season.
