OpenBet Provides Extensive Player Stats Markets for Women’s World Cup

OpenBet, a prominent technology, content, and service provider to the sports betting industry, delivered an extensive range of player stats markets powered by SportCast during the Women’s World Cup. The company responded to increased demand from operators and bettors by offering five different betting markets for the tournament: Shots on Target, Assists, Passes, Shots, and Tackles.

Comprehensive sports betting experiences

These markets were accessible within SportCast’s premium BetBuilder, pre-built BetBuilder, and singles product sets. OpenBet’s SportCast aims to provide comprehensive sports betting experiences, ranging from outright betting to pre-match and in-play options.

Throughout the Women’s World Cup, OpenBet facilitated 1.3 million sports betting transactions, with even higher engagement anticipated for the final match. OpenBet’s move to provide more opportunities for players to engage with women’s sporting events is part of its broader strategy. The company recently added player stats markets for Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) matches and National Rugby League (NRL) Women’s Premiership events, which have been well-received by its partners in the US and Australia.

Significant boost in interest

Furthermore, OpenBet has expanded its player stats offerings to include Major League Soccer, becoming one of the top five biggest football tournaments alongside Champions League and Europa League. The company also plans to introduce player stats from Brazil’s Serie A, aiming to tap into growth opportunities in the Latin American region.

Manos Lagopoulos, VP Trading Content at OpenBet, expressed the significant boost in interest in women’s sports betting over the past year, stating “Women’s sports betting has seen a huge boost in interest over the past 12 months, with this year’s World Cup tournament the latest driver of activity.

“We are delighted to have offered our Player Props product for bettors worldwide and cater to demand from operators for a much wider range of markets. Attention now turns towards the final, which we anticipate will generate a great volume of engagement as fans worldwide discover who will take home the coveted trophy.”
