Bacta Announces Strategic Promotion in Executive Team

Expanded Role for Robert Gibb

Robert Gibb, who has served as Bacta’s Head of Finance and Operations for the past eight years, will now expand his responsibilities to include leading the delivery of services to Bacta members and managing the work of Bacta’s Membership Support Officers (MSOs). This new role capitalizes on Gibb’s extensive experience and successful track record within the organization.

John Bollom, President of Bacta, expressed his confidence in Gibb’s appointment, stating, “I would heartily congratulate Rob on his promotion as Executive Director – Commercial. He has done an outstanding job for Bacta in recent years in overseeing our organisation and finances. National Council is confident he will drive forward continued enhancements in the services we provide to members.”

In response, Robert Gibb shared his enthusiasm for the new challenges ahead, “I am excited to be taking on this new role and look forward to working with Bacta’s outstanding team of MSOs to continue to raise the support we provide.”

Anticipating Positive Reforms

The promotion of Gibb follows the appointment of George McGregor as Executive Director – Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs and Communications in January, further strengthening Bacta’s executive leadership team. These strategic moves come at a crucial time as the UK gambling sector anticipates significant reforms.

In a recent year-end special interview with Yogonet, Bollom discussed the potential opportunities arising from the UK government’s proposed gambling reforms. He highlighted the widespread support for these reforms and their potential to significantly contribute to the sector’s growth.

Conclusion: Bacta’s Strategic Vision for Growth

Bacta’s recent executive promotions and reorganization efforts reflect the association’s commitment to enhancing member services and advocating for positive changes in the UK’s gambling landscape. With experienced leaders like Robert Gibb and George McGregor at the helm, Bacta is well-positioned to navigate the anticipated reforms and drive the industry towards a prosperous future.
