Casbit Group Faces Regulatory Sanctions from KSA for Illegal Operations

In a recent development, the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the Dutch gambling authority, has imposed stringent regulatory actions on Casbit Group NV for its unauthorized gambling activities in the Netherlands.

The issue centers around Casbit Group’s platform, lala.bet, which has been operating without the necessary legal permissions, a clear violation of Dutch gambling laws.

Details of the Infringement

The KSA’s investigation revealed that Casbit Group NV had entered the Dutch market through its lala.bet platform without obtaining the required operational licenses.

Initially, the KSA issued a warning to Casbit Group NV, mandating a halt to all its operations within the Netherlands and setting a compliance deadline. Despite assurances from Casbit that it would cease its unlicensed activities, subsequent checks revealed continued access for Dutch players. As a result, the KSA has now enforced a heavy penalty, threatening fines up to €280,000 per week should the illegal activities persist.

The KSA remains vigilant in its enforcement of gambling regulations, aiming to eliminate unlicensed gaming within its jurisdiction.
