Codere Online announces appointment of Michal Elimelech to Board of Directors

Codere Online, a leading online gaming operator in Spain and Latin America, has announced the successful outcome of all 20 agenda items at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held last week at the company’s registered office. One of the key resolutions was the appointment of Michal Elimelech as a new member of the Board of Directors.

Oscar Iglesias will be the new CFO of Codere Online

Michal Elimelech will be taking over from Oscar Iglesias as one of the four directors nominated by Codere Newco S.A. The Board expresses its sincere appreciation to Iglesias for his valuable contributions and dedication during his tenure as a Board member and looks forward to continuing to work with him in his current role as CFO of Codere Online.

Patrick Ramsey, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated, “The approval of all AGM resolutions by shareholders underscores their confidence in Codere Online’s strategic direction and future prospects. Wealth of experience

Michal Elimelech, a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the gaming industry, joins the Board as the newest member. Elimelech has a track record of over 15 years at 888 Holdings, holding key positions such as Head of US Marketing, Head of Bingo, and Head of Developed Markets EMEA. In these roles, she had full profit and loss responsibility across Europe, including Germany, the UK, and the Scandinavian markets. Most recently, she served as COO of Passiflora and CMO of Space Ape Games.

During her time at 888 Holdings, Elimelech played a pivotal role in the company’s successful expansion into the highly regulated US market. She navigated complex environments, drove customer acquisition through multiple channels, and led customer conversion and retention activities through a dedicated CRM team.

More changes in Codere

Furthermore, during the Board of Directors meeting preceding the AGM, several changes to Board committees were approved. Borja Fernández was appointed Chairman of the Audit Committee, replacing Martin M. Werner, who will remain a member of the committee.

Additionally, the Compliance Committee transitioned from an advisory committee to a formal Board committee, with the following members: Patrick Ramsey (Chairman), Michal Elimelech, Rafael Catalá, Mark Dunn, and Yaiza Rodríguez.
