Colorado’s June 2023 Sports Betting Figures: Handle Declines, Taxes Increase
The Colorado Division of Gaming has released the sports betting figures for June 2023, revealing a total handle of $310,656,478.39.

This marks a 19.36% decrease from May’s total handle of $385,242,135.59 and a 0.82% decrease from the June 2022 total handle of $313,215,080.54.
In terms of taxes collected for sports betting in Colorado, June saw a total of $441,950.58. This reflects an 80.08% decrease from May’s total taxes of $2,218,084.09 but a 64.73% increase from the total taxes collected in June 2022, which amounted to $268,280.48.
A 105-per cent increase in tax revenue increase
Looking at the overall wagers made during the fiscal year up to June 2023, the total amount reached $5,176,551,804.03. This shows a 7.5% increase from the wagers made in the previous year up to the same time, which amounted to $4,815,595,918.69.
In terms of fiscal year taxes to date (FYTD) for June, the amount collected was $25,589,208.27, indicating a substantial 105.66% increase from the FYTD Taxes for June 2022, which amounted to $12,442,188.01.
