Groupe Partouche Announces Strong Annual Growth for 2022/2023

During its recent meeting on January 30, 2024, Groupe Partouche’s Supervisory Board reviewed the company’s annual performance up to October 31, 2023, revealing significant growth.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) saw a 10.2% increase, reaching €701.5M, driven by slot machines, electronic traditional games in France, and online games in Switzerland.
  • Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) rose by 9.0% to €332.9M.
  • Overall turnover excluding NGR improved by 9.6%, amounting to €94.3M, leading to a consolidated turnover growth of 9.0%, totaling €423.8M.
  • EBITDA remained stable at €76.1M, accounting for 18.0% of the turnover. Excluding previous financial aids, EBITDA saw a €5.4M increase, indicating an improvement in operational performance.
  • Current Operating Income (COI) experienced an 18.3% increase, reaching €27.4M, primarily due to the casino sector’s performance.

Expenditure and Operational Insights

  • Purchases and external expenses rose by 16.9%, with significant increases in materials and advertising & marketing costs.
  • Employee expenses increased to €177.2M, reflecting wage adjustments and the end of partial activity schemes.
  • The group did not benefit from government “closure” aids this year, impacting the “Other current operating income and expenses” segment.

  • The partnership with Betsson has enabled the Middelkerke casino in Belgium to offer online games, with a promising move to a prime location planned for the end of March.
