IGT Extends Contract with California Lottery as Primary Lottery Technology Provider

IGT Global Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of IGT, will continue to serve as the primary lottery technology provider. This contract amendment is set to run through October 2033, with provisions for five additional one-year extension options.

As part of this contract amendment, IGT will upgrade the California Lottery’s second-chance platform to its latest cloud-based platform, integrated into IGT’s OMNIA™ lottery solution. Central system-related business applications that optimize and manage various aspects of the lottery’s operations will also transition to the cloud. This move to cloud platforms is expected to enhance flexibility, reliability, and innovation acceleration. The contract also includes plans to upgrade California’s central lottery system to IGT’s OMNIA platform.

In addition to the technology upgrades, IGT will continue to provide essential services to the California Lottery, including the maintenance of its central system, communications network, and a vast network of point-of-sale hardware in numerous retailer locations. IGT also supplies instant ticket games, field services, marketing and research capabilities, and call center support.
