Kizzie Fenner Appointed Director of UK Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at Evoke
Evoke, formerly known as 888 Holdings, has announced the appointment of Kizzie Fenner as the new Director of UK Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. This promotion comes as the company undertakes a strategic rebranding to strengthen its market position and align more closely with its core values and operational vision.
Fenner’s Journey to the Top
Kizzie Fenner, who has been with Evoke since 2021, has steadily climbed the ranks within the company. She initially joined as Group Legal Counsel and later advanced to Group Associate Legal Counsel – Regulatory and Group Senior Legal Counsel – Regulatory. In her latest role, she will be responsible for overseeing the compliance and regulatory affairs in the UK, a key market for Evoke.
Fenner expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “I am thrilled to announce that I have been promoted to the role of Director of UK Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at Evoke. Leading our UK compliance function during this transformative period for our company, amidst significant legal and regulatory changes, is a huge privilege. I am grateful to be joining a remarkable team of highly talented colleagues, and I know that we will succeed together.”
She also extended her gratitude to her colleagues, adding, “I am so thankful to Fredrik, Yanica, and the entire Legal team, as well as Harinder and the wider Risk and Compliance team, for their continuing support. I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and am excited to embrace this new opportunity.”
Evoke’s Rebranding and Strategic Focus
The announcement of Fenner’s promotion coincides with 888 Holdings’ recent rebranding to Evoke, a move aimed at revitalizing the company’s market presence. CEO Per Widerström emphasized the significance of this change, stating, “Today marks the start of Evoke’s exciting future. By bringing our business together under a single, unifying brand identity, Evoke reflects our future-focused mindset and our commitment to bringing world-class betting and gaming experiences to our customers all over the world.”
Despite achieving a 38% increase in corporate revenue last year, the company faced challenges that prompted this strategic overhaul. Widerström and the new executive leadership have launched a comprehensive “value creation plan” focused on eliminating inefficiencies and improving accountability. This plan aims to achieve significant cost savings annually, enhancing the company’s operational model.
Continued Commitment to Core Markets
As part of its transformation, Evoke has streamlined its operations to focus on core markets, including the UK, Italy, Spain, and Denmark. The company reassured stakeholders that popular consumer-facing brands such as William Hill, 888casino, 888sport, and 888poker will retain their original names despite the corporate rebranding.
The rebranding initiative has received strong backing from shareholders, signaling a positive outlook for the implementation of the new corporate strategy.
