New Hampshire sports betting revenue reaches $7 million in May

The latest report from the New Hampshire Lottery reveals that gross revenue from legal sports betting in the state reached a total of just over $7 million in May.

$3 million for the state of New Hampshire

This figure includes both online wagers placed on DraftKings and bets made at physical sportsbooks across the state.

In New Hampshire, DraftKings holds the exclusive license for online sports betting and claims a 49% share of the revenue generated. As a result, the state of New Hampshire received over $3 million from the $7 million revenue pool.

Although the total amount wagered by New Hampshirites in May was the lowest since August, there is no cause for concern for DraftKings and the Lottery. Despite the decline in betting volume, it has not translated into a decrease in revenue. In fact, the opposite is true.

Highest revenue since February

The $7 million revenue figure represents the highest recorded since February, showcasing a win rate of 13.4% for the sportsbooks. With a typical win rate of around 10% considered a good month, this performance is particularly impressive. Furthermore, the May revenue reflects an improvement of over 13% compared to the same period in 2022.

Taking a closer look at the numbers, some speculate that the sports betting landscape in neighbouring Massachusetts could be influencing the market dynamics in New Hampshire.
