Search for New Entain CEO Continues as Top Candidate Steps Down

Entain faces a significant challenge in its quest to appoint a new CEO. One of the main candidates, Richard Flint, former Chairman of Sky Betting and Gaming, is withdrawing from the race.

Nygaard-Andersen Departure and Interim Leadership

Entain, the powerhouse behind well-known brands like Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala Bingo, Bwin, and BetMGM, lost its leadership with Nygaard-Andersen’s resignation from CEO of the company.

In the interim, Stella David, former CEO of William Grant & Sons, known for Scotch whisky brands like The Balvenie and Glenfiddich, has stepped in to guide the company through this transitional period.

Richard Flint Declines CEO Position

Among the favorites to fill the role was Richard Flint, acclaimed for his impactful leadership at Sky Betting and Gaming. Flint recently made headlines with his decision to step down as a non-executive director of Flutter Entertainment, which spurred speculation about his next move.

However, in an exclusive interview with Sky News, Flint stated, “Ignore what other bookmakers might say or the odds they might put out there – I am very much enjoying the package of things I’ve got on at the moment.” This statement officially removed him from the list of potential candidates for the Entain CEO position.
